China Materialia celebrated the official new office opening in a ceremony on July 1. 2010. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Party Secretary of the Shanghai World Expo Bureau, Deputy Director of Yangpu District People’s Congress Director. Mr. Anjie Chen; Yangpu Communist Party Standing Committee Member, Deputy Yangpu District Head. Mr.Yaoxun Cai:Deputy Yangpu District Head. Mr.Haidong Tang:Science and Technology Attache of the Consulate General of France Mr. Jean-Jacques Pierrat; and many friends, clients and partners of China Materialia. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Cai said that the Yangpu district is actively working on promoting Yangpu as the “national innovative pilot city”. The establishment of China Materialia LLC provides the district with a great deal of help and is a powerful booster to raise the level of innovation capacity in the district. Since its start a few months ago, China Materialia has already provided valuable services and help to the district in general and to the Yangpu District Finance Office in particular. Yangpu will integrate a variety of resources to support and promote the development and growth of China Materialia LLC, and strive to achieve win-win for the district and the company.

Finally, China Materialia will work closely with the Yangpu district government to build a cleantech park in Yangpu, introduce western science park management models and develop an cleantech ecosystem in which foreign large enterprises, international institutions, entrepreneurs and venture capital could benefit from and interact with each other. On behalf of the Yangpu government, Mr. Haidong Tang bestowed a calligraphy by a famous artist to China Materialia LLC as he expressed his best wishes that China Materialia LLC will “Travel the world, Seek the future” – meaning of the Chinese name of China Materialia.

Dr. Min Zhou thanked the Yangpu district for the generous support to the company. She commented that Yangpu, with a long history and concentration of universities and industries, is a hot spot for entrepreneurs and an ideal place for China Materialia LLC to build its future in the next ten years. China Materialia LLC will pursue development in three aspects: In Advisory Services, the company strives to provide services that integrate technology, business and finance to multinationals as well as local innovative enterprises:helping clients to convert technological advantages into business opportunities. In Investment, Dr. Min Zhou, a Managing Partner of China Greenstar Fund, aims to build China Greenstar into a leading investment fund in the clean technology investment space in China. In venture incubation, China Materialia LLC aims to introduce advanced western technologies to China market and build lasting companies that would become industry leaders and contribute to the upgrading of China’s industries.
